Happy new year everyone… Wow, what an amazing year 2006 was. I’m sure by now the turkey sandwiches are a distant memory and you’re back to business, looking to explode your teams into 2007. Well, what better way to motivate yourself and your team than the Kleeneze conference in a couple of days.

The new year conference is, in my opinion, the best meeting of the year. This year’s will be even more special as this will be the first conference since our new backers, Findel PLC, took over back in October. What new initiatives will they have in place for this fantastic business? Be there in Birmingham to find out!

Of course there will be lots of great training too, from some of the superstars in the business. Rob Forster, Peter White and John Stephens are all due to speak, and of course the destination for the international conference 2007 will be announced. Wow!

Of all the conferences I’ve been to so far, this one topped the lot. There was so much news I’m only going to give the basics here and follow up with separate posts for each item over the next few days, but rest assured Findel are set to take their new Kleeneze business to the next level and beyond.

The news in brief

With the backing of a £600 million PLC behind them, Kleeneze are launching new incentives to increase brand awareness and customer service. There will be a £1 million investment in additional stocks which, along with Findel’s logistics expertise will keep the in-stock levels at or above their current and impressive level of 98.6%. A further £1 million is being spent on brand awareness including sponsorship of the television program How clean is your house? Kleeneze are sponsoring the entire series which will run later this year.

To help with sponsoring, and to get new distributors off to the best possible start with 200 catalogues, a new ’super’ business kit has been announced. With immediate effect, the new kit which adds 150 cats to the regular business kit will be available for just £125. This is a massive discount on the current cost of starting and will run as a 3 month trial.

The business manual is also being rewritten, and the service centre will now be relaunched with Kitbag moved up to Manchester. This will mean that the entire Warmley site will now be solely dedicated to serving us.

The conferences are also changing. The European conference is being moved back to the autumn, which means that this year there will be TWO European conferences… Cannes in June, and another to be announced at the annual sales conference on June 23rd. The 2008 Kleeneze International Conference has been announced as Thailand. The destination looks amazing and I’ll post more details very soon.

If all that wasn’t enough, the car incentives have changed too! The Mini Cooper’s are staying, but the BMWs have been changed to gorgeous Jaguars, the Porsche Boxster changes to a Jaguar XK8, a new car incentive is added for Master Distributor… an Aston Martin V8 Vantage! And if that wasn’t enough, the Ferrari has now changed to a much more refined Bentley Continental GT. All the cars were driven in to the arena during the conference to thunderous applause. Now there really is something for everyone to aim for at all levels of the payplan.

Of course there was also some great training, great recognition, with 2 Mini Coopers given away, and the chance to mix and mingle with all of the top distributors. A great day was had by all and I’m sure everyone who went is now fired up and ready to go.

If there was one feeling that I think everyone who attended came away with it would be this; that the Kleeneze business opportunity is primed and ready to explode. As announced at the conference, there is a new ’super’ Kleeneze business kit which reduces the cost of getting new people set up with the best possible start. The upgraded Super 200 Business Kit costs £125 (€185 in Ireland) and contains 200 Main Book and 200 Health & Beauty catalogues, in addition to snappy bags and the usual administration forms. This represents a saving of £40 (€60).

This new deal will ensure that distributors start with enough books to help make the business work quickly for them and will run for a three month trial period initially. The standard Business Kit will remain available at a cost of £75 (€110) For a limited time only, it will also include 200 January Sale catalogues!

What an amazing looking destination! The 2008 International conference will see Kleeneze distributors whisked off to the far east for the first time. Qualifiers will be staying at the luxurious Laguna Phuket resort in 5 star luxury. With a full schedule packed with activities, and also plenty of time to relax in the serene location, there really is something for everyone. We’ll see the monkeys, deer and wild boar at Bangtao bay, canoe in the emerald waters of Phang Nga bay, famous from the Bond film, of play a few rounds on the private golf course.Kleeneze Phuket Conference - Qualification

Kleeneze have not only given us a dream location this year, but have also made it much easier to qualify. With the qualification period running for an entire year, right up to the end of January 2008. This means that many more people can qualify - even those who have yet to join the business have a great shot at this conference.

Home owners and borrowers were dealt a major blow today when the Bank of England raised interest rates by 0.25% to 5.25%. The current forecasts are for rates to continue to rise to 5.50% or even 5.75% this year. This will of course make mortgage and loan repayments more expensive for millions.

The move will add an extra £16 to the monthly bill of households with a £100,000 mortgage if lenders pass the full rise on to customers.

Added to the cost of the previous two interest rate rises in August and November, mortgage repayments for the typical homeowner will have increased by £47.60 to £722.80.

With the average disposable income in the UK (after paying the Mortgage/rent, bills, food etc.) running at less than £200 per month, this will have a major effect on the lifestyles of many households. Of course it’s not all bad news though, our business opportunity can offer people an alternative to a drop in lifestyle and worrying about the bills. The second income available through the Kleeneze opportunity can easily replace this extra expense and so much more.

January is always a great time to be building this business anyway, with many people struggling to repay their credit cards after Christmas. I was a little confused when we arrived at the conference last weekend, when the arena looked decidedly empty. Normally Kleeneze glam the event up with an array of cars and decorations that give the event a real showbiz vibe. This time however, the arena looked pretty bare except for 2 Mini Coopers on stage. It wasn’t long however, before we realised why this was.

Once the lights went down, the tension building music went up and you started to hear engines revving we realised that Kleeneze were about to make a big entrance. Before we knew it, 5 cars were driven into the arena to thunderous applause. The new vehicles replace the BMWs, the Porsche, and the Ferrari, and also add a new car incentive at the level of Master Distributor. The new incentives are:

• Jaguar X-type - Given to distributors who reach Gold SED
• Jaguar S-type - Given to distributors who reach Gold Premier
• Jaguar XK - Given to distributors who reach Gold Premier
• Aston Martin Vantage - Awarded to distributors upon reaching Master Distributor
• Bentley Continental GT - Awarded to distributors upon reaching Grand Master Distributor

With all the news and updates in recent weeks, the new TV advertising, the highest in-stock levels in ages, the new cars and conferences, the continued growth in Europe, the reduced price of business kits etc. there is no doubt that this is the ‘right place at the right time’. There has never been a better time to join Kleeneze, and we are set for massive growth over the coming years. However, to take advantage of the situation and build a very substantial business we need clearly defined goals and a plan to achieve them.

Goal setting for 2007

What do you want from 2007? Double your Kleeneze income? Triple it? Quadruple it???

Whatever you want, within reason, is achievable but only if you make the decision to achieve it and become unstoppable. Be like a racehorse, put the blinkers on and don’t divert from your path.

Goals must excite you

Your goals must excite you, and they must not limit you. If you are planning to get to Bronze and qualify for Phuket great, but why not aim for Silver? Aim high… As Bob Webb says, “If you aim for the stars, and land on the moon you have not done bad”.

Findel have shown their total commitment to this business, now we must all do the same. You must take responsibility for your role in the business if you want the results and rewards. A recent pole showed that 100% of SEDs in the business had clearly defined goals for 2007. As Jim Rohn says, “Success leaves clues”, if clearly defined goals got them to SED, it should follow that we need clearly defined goals to duplicate them.

Be Specific

Increase turnover, get a bigger cheque, move house. These are all great things to aim for but they are not goals. Goals need to be specific; Increase turnover by 80%, Earn a £3000 cheque, move to a 4 bed detached house in Falmouth - these are goals.

Once you have set your goals, you need to plan backwards with the end in sight. Work with your sponsor or upline Gold to put a plan of action together. Work out exactly what activity you need to be doing on a monthly, weekly and daily basis to achieve those goals. Keep track and adjust your plan where necessary.

As I said before this really is the right place at the right time, lets make the most of it.

Winston Churchill said that men often stumble across opportunity, but they usually brush themselves off and walk away as if nothing had happened. Don’t be one of the ones to walk away, grasp this opportunity with both hands and we’ll see you at the top.

It’s not very often that I recommend a book which doesn’t actually teach skills which will help to actively build your business, but this book is so exceptional I have to mention it. Written in 1926, this masterpiece is almost as old as Kleeneze itself, and with such a reputation I can’t believe it has taken me so long to get around to readng it… a bit like joining Kleeneze however I wish I had done so sooner.

The book, touted as “The most inspiring book on wealth ever written”, is a collection of ‘Babylonian parables’ on the subject of thrift, financial planning and personal wealth. The book really does live up to its reputation and teaches some basic, but very valuable lessons. Not only will it help you to earn extra cash, but most importantly to save money and invest wisely.

It’s all very well building a large business, and an income to match, but without a little sound financial knowledge it would be easy to spend the money as fast as it is earned. Sure, we are in a better situation than most, with the ability to earn a residual income, but even so we ought to take the time to learn how to best benefit from our earnings. I will certainly be recommending this to everyone in my team and I hope that many of you reading this seek it out and study its wisdom.
